Market Analysis
The Australian beauty and spa industry is growing at a rapid pace in recent years. This is mainly due to the huge size of the Australian population of the right age, which has led to a surge in demand for beauty and cosmetic products and services, while the increasingly specialised division of labour and diversity of services in the beauty industry has also contributed to the industry’s growth. This rapid growth is expected to continue until 2020. There are more than 8,000 beauty salons and 700 spa centres in Australia, with more than half of them offering beauty-related services to customers. Cosmetic surgery, hairdressing, spa and fitness are fast-growing segments of the beauty industry in Australia with a high market share.
